Seaside Heights first became a resort town a century ago, and by 1915, it was quite a popular destination with those looking for a vacation at the beach. Visit and you’ll see why this town has been catering to tourists for over 100 years. The perfect trip to the shore involves sand and surf, but visit Seaside Heights and you can indulge in a variety of activities for young and old alike that will help create wonderful vacation memories. Beautiful sandy beaches are the perfect host for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, water sports, but Seaside Heights offers so much more. The beaches are free on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the months of July and August (except for holidays), and on these days, the town offers special family-oriented events. There are many attractions including water parks, arcades, and amusement piers. After a stroll on the boardwalk, take a ride back in time on the Dr. Floyd L. Moreland 1910 Dentzel/Loof Carousel. It is truly a piece of history that you can ride on! Some of the animals on the carousel were carved way back in the 1890s. After visiting the carousel, try your swing at one of the miniature golf courses nearby. Seaside Heights offers different accommodations to suit each individual need. Perhaps a motel fits your budget, or a cottage within steps of the beach, or a cozy room at a bed and breakfast inn. You can find all of them here. Many restaurants in town will tempt you so it may be hard to choose between Italian, seafood, and other specialty menus. You can’t be bored in Seaside Heights.
