When looking for the perfect vacation spot, you should not overlook the beautiful seaside destination of Margate City. Built within the city was a restaurant-hotel combination, and the railroad line was extended through the city creating the shape of an elephant now called “Lucy”. This shore community provides pristine beaches, an abundance of activities up and down the shoreline, fantastic restaurants, and amazing shops. People who come to visit Margate City immediately sense both excitement and relaxation. With this seaside resort only a short drive from both Somers Point and Atlantic City, you can enjoy the tranquility of Margate City and then the electrifying nightlife of the neighboring cities. After arriving in Margate City, you will be overwhelmed by the diverse activities offered that include bike rentals, charter cruises, day spas, fishing, miniature golf, parks, and much, much more! If planning a trip to New Jersey in August, be sure you make it to this community where you can enjoy the Margate Parade and Beach Party! Although Margate City is beautiful all year round, the summer months thrive. Keep in mind that this residential paradise has no hotels, so reservations will need to be made in any of the neighboring towns although on occasion, you can find a summer rental home. While this may seem like an inconvenience, it is actually an advantage in that visiting Margate City is like a vacation within a vacation. You can travel to this marvelous seaside community during the day to play on the beautiful beaches, tour interesting historical sites, enjoy a wonderful dinner by the sea, and then at night, be in a completely different environment. |
