Fun and educational for the entire family. Many of the guides are college students doing an internship at the Institute. Great way to learn about the shore's fragile eco-system. Best time to visit is in June when the Diamondback Terrapins emerge from the wetlands in search of sandy soil to lay eggs. If you go at that time of year, I suggest wearing long sleeved shirts and pants because of the large, biting green-head flies that may be around then. Afterall, you are in the Wetlands and any of the over-the-counter bug sprays are no match for them!
