User Reviews | Map It! Phyllis (12/4/2008) Ahhh, the memories :) Loved hanging at Maloney's with my friends in the late seventies. Met a great guy there in 1977 who was my boyfriend for 5 years, and is still a good friend. I have lots of fond memories of Maloney's.
Mike (8/27/2008) The best bar ever... Maloney's Alumni from 1992-1996.
Gatorades for Jimmy Dorner... Jack Daniels and Rolling Rocks for us. Great memories... R.I.P. John W. (8/3/2008) From 1987-199?, it was my second home!! The best was off season on a Monday night for football. Jim was tending bar, and about a dozen regulars enjoyed the game. Whatever happened to Bubba? My twenties will always be associated with my favorite(and pretty much only)watering hole.
Bean (6/20/2008) All great things must come to a end. So much beer, so many pretty girls. It's a great memory to have as you get older. It makes me feel young when I think of those days. Crowsnest gang summer of '78 & '79. So many phone numbers lost, but I remember you all, or most.
Shoobie from Conshy (7/5/2007) My sister worked there for the last three years it was open. Truly a loss for the Margate area. I miss the Zoo, the patio, the bouncer races down Washington Avenue on a slow weeknight... everything!
Deb (4/10/2006) Still can't believe it's gone! What a great time!
JP (2/8/2006) Ahh... this truly was a great loss. Thank you George for all of the memories... they will never be forgotten.
Garv (2/3/2006) Maloney's will live on in my memory forever.
What a GREAT place; particulary on a rainy day at the Jersey Shore. I could always count on seeing all the gang from South Adams Ave. on any given day and any given time. 75 Feet of comfortable bar!! Kenny (12/25/2005) had a lot of good times there and was glad to get one last summer in before it closed. too many great memories.
Glennbo (12/16/2005) Another landmark gone from Margate!! If you never
got the chance to experience The Zoo or the fine dining, you missed history. The Naame's, Sonny, Paul Ptomaine, Tim, John, The Twins, Sidney and the list goes on and on, will really be missed. I still can't believe it's gone. Boo-Hoo!!!!! |
